Privacy Defender

This feature allows you to clean the cookies, browser history, temporary Internet files, hidden INDEX.DAT files, browser typed URLs, visited URLs, AutoComplete forms data and passwords for five major browsers: Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, AOL Explorer, Opera and Netscape Navigator.

You can...

• ...select if you would like to delete all these files using the secure file shredder engine. Check the Clean files securely, overwriting them as many times as below checkbox, then select how many passes to perform for each file cleaned. A pass is equal to one overwrite of the file with random data.
• ...select the items you would like to clean, from the Please select what to clean screen, then the browsers to clean for (in the Please select the browsers area), then press the Clean Privacy... button to proceed.

Note

If you choose to delete certain settings for your browser (like cookies), your logons into certain sites will be removed, and you will have to login again.
